Our scheme with Guild Living and Legal & General received approval on the 24th June
This is another victory for the later living sector, with our scheme based in Uxbridge being granted planning approval at committee, after receiving recommendation from the planning officer.
The site is located on the edge of the densely developed Uxbridge Town centre, close to the historic Uxbridge High Street. The proposed scheme of two buildings linked by a podium storey, will deliver a variety of later living accommodation options, with levels of care tailored to the individual. Comprising a total of 194 units, this includes a mixture of 161 Guild Living Residences, 24 Guild Care Suites and 7 Guild Care Residences.
The accommodation is complemented by a suite of public facilities on the ground floor including a nursery, a cafe and bar, a restaurant, a wellness centre, and an accessible public plaza area. Those amenities open to the public face Harefield Road and the internal courtyard to encourage social interaction between people within the site. The Wellness Centre is located on the north-west corner to ensure a visual connection between the town centre and the development is established. Also provided are back of house and service areas, pedestrian and vehicular access, car and cycle parking and landscaped private amenity space at podium level.
We are so proud of our team who have worked incredibly hard designing this scheme that we know will provide so much for the older generations to come.
