A new 8 level commercial building located in the heart of Christchurch city CBD on a spectacular north facing site fronting Otakaro/Avon river featuring 7 levels of A grade office space, ground floor retail and basement parking. The building is designed to reach IL3 achieving 100% NBS, Green Star 5 rating and NABERS 5-star rating. Our design approach embodies cultural principals of Tangatawhenua (first peoples of the area) and their awareness of connection to and relationship within the local environment which we have interpreted in the facade’s graphics and green walls and balconies surrounding the main street access. Incorporating cultural principals reflects the clients (Chinese descent) willingness to acknowledge and engage with Ngai Tahu Iwi as tangata whenua to strengthen relationships & ongoing commitments to the city of Christchurch.
