boutique vertical community
The challenge for Life3A was to create a true vertical community, which fosters a sense of belonging and purpose for residents in an urban setting together with lifestyle and wellness facilities.
Utilising an evidence-based approach to design, we incorporated well-being strategies into place-making and a connection to nature in the public-private interfaces.
This has created a space where the well-being of the residents is enhanced through contact with nature and connection to the broader community.
The development has become a landmark project in Australia at the forefront of seniors living vertical communities.
With buyers averaging a median age of 75, Akoya is attracting older downsizers who would have historically looked towards the higher-end retirement village market.
Replicating the sales records of other CAPs projects, Akoya Greenwich is 70% sold on firm deposits six months before completion.
Its three-bedroom apartments and penthouses are priced from $3.45 million and $5.495 million. Read the DCM article ‘The rise of Community Apartment Projects (CAPs) like Akoya Greenwich is teaching village operators a lesson.‘ 07/2023
