This project brief called for a specialist facility that provides for comprehensive ophthalmic care service. The building has been designed to be a welcoming environment, that features warm timber finishes and large windows that flood patient areas with daylight, improving the overall sense of well being. The functional space requirements have been carefully considered relating to the patient and staff journeys and overall servicing, to reduce cross overs of functions and enhance the patient experience.
The new building has been designed in response to the heritage building on site. The heritage building has been refurbished and maintained under historical considerations.
