Highlights

  • Retirement community integrated into natural beauty of a golf course
  • Full amenities and services to support active, social lifestyles and promote wellbeing
  • Communal areas provide focal points for nurturing a sense of community

Project objective

The objective was to integrate a retirement and later living development on a golf course, allowing residents to live independent with fairway views, enjoying active lifestyles, and having all the necessary support services. Life3A was engaged to develop a masterplan for the site.

Client challenge

With the golf course being a large site, the challenge was to develop a sense of community and belonging without compromising the opportunities for natural amenity and active lifestyles.

Life3A solution

The Masterplan allows for a small communities’ model around pocket gardens. This maximises the site’s natural amenity, while providing opportunities for social interaction. The buildings feature top and under villas with internal patios to enjoy the garden and views. A feature of the masterplan was adapting the development to the topography of the golf course.

Exceptional outcome

The masterplan has facilitated the development of a genuinely integrated leisure and lifestyle community, where residents can enjoy the natural surroundings to the full without losing out on social interaction.
