Our scheme with Guild Living and Legal & General receives approval at appeal.
A firm decision by the planning inspector has put older people and an inter-generational community at the heart of Walton-on-Thames Town Centre. This is a landmark decision for the later living sector! To celebrate this amazing news we thought we’d share a little more about the scheme and what is going to be constructed on the site.
Located within the town centre of Walton-on-Thames, redevelopment of the site will provide a new later living community arranged over 4 buildings and comprising a total of 222 units. These units are made up of 193 residences, 26 care suites, and 3 care residences. In addition to the apartments the buildings will house communal amenity areas and care & wellbeing facilities as well as associated back of house and service areas, pedestrian and vehicular access, car and cycle parking, landscaping, private amenity space and public open space.
The development will make effective use of previously developed brownfield land and contribute to employment opportunities whilst delivering specialist extra-care housing for older persons.
We are proud to have worked along side our clients Legal & General with Guild Living and a stellar team of consultants including Nexus Planning, Hoare Lea and Cast Consulting.
